Ternopil: 20-year-old Bohdan rescued from the rubble after 10 hours

The story of the rescue of a young man in Ternopil


In Ternopil, rescuers managed to save 20-year-old Bohdan Kobel, who was trapped under the rubble of a destroyed apartment building. Russians destroyed the house where the Kobel family lived. The young man's mother, Oksana Kobel, expressed her gratitude for the rescue of her son and condolences to the families of the deceased.


Oksana stated that her son sustained injuries, but after the rescue, he is worried about their apartment. She emphasized his positive mood and confidence that together they can overcome this terrible incident.


'My colleagues and I were digging through the rubble, keeping in touch with him, calming him down. I told him: 'Endure, wait, we will rescue you'' - said rescuer Denys Karpenko.

According to Karpenko, Bohdan miraculously stayed alive, he was trapped under the rubble with a broken arm. Nevertheless, he was rescued.


Search and rescue operations are currently ongoing at the site of the tragedy. The death toll has reached 31, and the identification of the deceased and the search for the missing continue.



During the war, rescuers in Ternopil continue to search for people under the rubble of destroyed buildings. They do not cease their efforts to save the affected and begin their work even before medical teams arrive.
