Since 2022, 7214 taxpayers affected by hostilities have received temporary relief from tax obligations. Among them, 2913 individuals received such relief this year. This information was provided by the State Tax Service.

According to the tax data, the largest number of affected taxpayers is currently in Kyiv - 1645 individuals, including taxpayers from temporarily occupied territories. Among the leaders in the frontline regions are Mykolaiv (826), Zaporizhzhia (516), and Kharkiv regions (271).

At the same time, only a small number of taxpayers received relief in Donetsk (189), Luhansk (69), and Kherson (9). This is due to objective reasons: the conditions of the military conflict, blockade, or temporary occupation, making it impossible to submit the necessary documentation to confirm the inability to pay taxes.

Such taxpayers will have the opportunity to exercise the right to relief after the hostilities or occupation end, access to documents is restored, and necessary documentation is collected. The tax service also reminded that this right to relief applies to both individuals and legal entities affected by actions of Russia and unable to fulfill their tax obligations due to the consequences of those actions.

Such restrictions are caused by the destruction of production capacities, destruction of equipment, being in the conflict or occupation zone, loss of access to workplaces, and other circumstances.

According to new legislation, taxpayers who suffered due to hostilities have received the right to temporary relief from tax obligations. More than 7200 individuals have already taken advantage of this benefit, which provides them time to restore the capacity to pay taxes after the conflict or occupation ends.
