Hourly power outages from January 13: what is known about the new schedules

Нова інформація про графіки відключень електроенергії, що почали діяти з 13 січня.

Implementation of hourly electricity outage schedules in Ukraine

Starting from January 13, hourly electricity outage schedules will be implemented in Ukraine due to the consequences of Russian attacks on energy facilities. This measure applies, in particular, to industrial consumers who will be subject to power limitations. The reasons for such limitations are significant damage to the energy infrastructure caused by missile and drone attacks from Russia.

The General Director of DTEK, Maxim Timchenko, noted that this winter will be the most difficult since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, emphasizing that Ukraine's energy system is facing serious difficulties.

The situation in the energy system may change, so consumers can find out the time and extent of outages on the official pages of the regional electricity companies in their areas, including through Ukrenergo.

Importance of electricity supply stability

It is important to note that Ukraine's energy system is currently experiencing a shortage of backup power systems, complicating the maintenance of electricity supply stability. As a result, the implementation of hourly power outages has become a necessary step to support the operation of the energy network during challenging conditions.

The introduction of hourly electricity outages in Ukraine indicates the serious challenges the country is facing amid aggression. The actions of the current government and energy companies are aimed at preserving the functioning of critical infrastructure, which is extremely important for maintaining the livelihoods of the population and the economy.

In wartime conditions, such a situation may become routine, but it also requires citizens and businesses to adapt to the new realities of energy supply.
