According to a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian invaders recently advanced to the northeast of Pokrovsk and may attempt to continue their aggression towards Dobropillia, bypassing Ukrainian defensive lines in the Donetsk region.

According to geolocated videos from ISW, Russian forces captured Koptivka and Shevchenko Pershe and advanced towards the southeast Razine, which is located to the northeast of Pokrovsk. Analysts believe that further Russian advancement towards Dobropillia would indicate a tactical priority for Russian forces in advancing westward from Ukrainian defensive positions.

Russian forces continue to increase pressure east of Pokrovsk and may attempt to bypass Ukrainian defensive positions in the Donetsk region to advance further west toward the city of Dobropillia. This indicates an escalation of the situation in eastern Ukraine and the need for a Ukrainian military response to protect the territorial integrity of the country.
