A new phase of the Russo-Ukrainian war is unfolding in Pokrovsk - street battles, where saboteurs gather in small groups, hide among the civilian population or military personnel, and carry out opportunistic attacks on defenses. According to The Telegraph, Ukrainian forces risk serious challenges fighting in an urban environment where hostility can be literally a step away from them. Such situations are becoming a daily reality for the fighters in Pokrovsk rather than an exception. The dynamics of the Russo-Ukrainian war are shifting to smaller scale offensives instead of large columns. Russian reconnaissance drones conceal themselves from Ukrainian defenses, while Russian groups infiltrate cities using various means of transportation, utilizing weather conditions as cover.

Drones play a key role in the military situation, responding to the actions of saboteurs and striking at their hideouts. Russian groups are targeting Ukrainian drone operators to weaken the city's defenses. Without these strikes, it is more challenging for Ukrainian forces to intercept attacks on approaches to the city. Ukrainian units are taking active measures in the Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad areas to hinder Russian forces from forming assault groups and advancing further.
