Heavy Fighting on the Pokrovsk Front
As of February 26, 2026, the situation on the Pokrovsk front remains highly tense. Russian forces have intensified their efforts to encircle the cities of Pokrovsk and Myrnograd. Ukrainian units are actively countering these enemy actions. Over the past day, 1,360 invaders were eliminated, indicating significant losses for the adversary. This sector is a critical point in Russia's ongoing offensive in eastern Ukraine.
Defenders Strike Key Enemy Depots
Ukraine's defense forces successfully struck enemy supply depots using ATACMS missiles, hitting several key targets. These strikes are part of a broader effort to disrupt Russian logistics and slow their advance. Specifically, the strikes destroyed:
- A logistics warehouse for the Rubicon center unit, located near the settlement of Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- An ammunition and materiel depot in the area of the settlement of Pryazovske in Donetsk Oblast;
- An ammunition storage facility in the temporarily occupied town of Oleksandrivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
In response to the situation, Ukrainian forces have increased aerial reconnaissance and are laying additional mines along likely enemy advance routes. Search-and-strike operations are being conducted to prevent further progress by the invaders. Ukrainian troops are focusing efforts on destroying transport vehicles used by enemy assault groups. The Eastern grouping of forces is actively implementing these measures to hinder further enemy aggression. The defense of Pokrovsk and Myrnograd is crucial for maintaining Ukrainian control over this part of the Donbas region.
