According to the spokesperson of the Joint Forces Operation 'Khortytsia', Major Viktor Trehubov, Russian troops have concentrated significant forces for a possible offensive in the direction of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and their surroundings. 'The Russians are conducting combat operations practically as a whole army across the entire direction. It is important to hold back their attacks and repel them from the positions they are trying to capture,' Trehubov stated.
The officer explained that the Russian tactic involves the use of assault groups of 2-5 people trying to break through the Ukrainian defense line. Even in the event of a breakthrough, they attempt to establish themselves in the rear in order to cause damage or withdraw reserves.
The enemy uses a full arsenal of means of destruction in the Pokrovsk direction
According to Trehubov, in the Pokrovsk direction, enemy forces are using all available means of destruction - from drones to guided aerial bombs. Despite this, Ukrainian fighters remain in their positions. There have also been recorded instances of the participation of women in Russian assault groups, but it is too early to speak of a systematic phenomenon.
According to the spokesperson, the situation in Chasiv Yar and Toretsk remains tense, however, Ukrainian forces are successfully holding the defense and do not allow the enemy to break through over a large distance. 'If the situation were to change suddenly, we would feel it. At the moment, both cities remain under control,' Trehubov emphasized.
Information about the readiness of Russian troops for a possible offensive in the direction of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad confirms the uneasy situation in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian troops are holding defensive positions and defending their territory, actively resisting enemy encroachments.
