He participated in district sports games and was awarded 1st and 2nd places multiple times. In civilian life, he worked as a guard at Varvarivka Special School.
During the full-scale war, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his home and family from enemies. He served in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He held the position of a gunner.
‘Sergey was everything to us. As a wife and mother, I still can’t believe he won’t return home. It’s hard to accept the fact that we are without him now. The soldiers remember him as someone with whom it was not scary to go on a mission. They knew that with him, they would return alive. According to the guys, Sergey saved many lives, and they are grateful to him for that. We miss him so much,’ said the wife of the fallen defender, Oksana.
The warrior was buried in his native village. He is survived by his mother, wife, son, and daughter. Posthumously, Sergey Vozny was awarded the Order of 'For Courage' of the III degree and the medal 'For Strong Spirit.' A kettlebell sports section was named in his honor in the Martynivka community where he lived.
