Mykhailo Kuryk died on June 4, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Makiyivka in Luhansk region. He was born on June 8, 1998, in Storozhynets, graduated from high school, and had always dreamed of becoming a military man since childhood.

All who knew Mykhailo remember him as a devoted, brave, and kind defender. He was an active athlete and loved dogs very much, especially his pet Archik, who was with him even at the front.
During his military service, Mykhailo Kuryk participated in numerous combat operations and was awarded the Combat Cross badge. He always prioritized the safety of his comrades, always ready to help and protect.
Mykhailo Kuryk is mourned by his wife Tetiana, mother, brother, and sister. He died at the age of 24, not reaching his 25th birthday.
