Ukraine is actively working on restoring irrigation on an area of over 1 million hectares, which is vital for the development of the agriculture sector in the context of climate change and recovery after the war.
Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, emphasized that the melioration reform is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Economy, confirming this at a meeting with agricultural producers.
The 'Strong Water' OVA successfully restored the pumping station, installed irrigation machines, and began setting up a solar power plant, which allowed for the restoration of irrigation on an area of 1127 hectares. Such projects not only optimize resource use but also have a positive impact on the development of agriculture.
With the support of international partners, Ukraine is actively modernizing melioration networks with technical support from the U.S. government. This creates new opportunities for agricultural companies and contributes to the development of the agricultural machinery market.
