Poland Launches Centralized Doctor Appointment System: How It Will Work From 2026

Польща впроваджує нову систему запису до лікарів: що зміниться у 2026 році.

Poland Launches Centralized Doctor Appointment System

The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, has signed a law that simplifies access to medical care through a centralized electronic registration system, which will start operating on January 1, 2026. This new system will allow patients to book appointments with doctors and for preventive examinations online, significantly easing the process of obtaining medical services.

Phases of System Implementation

The implementation of the system will be carried out in phases. The first phase will start on January 1, 2026, when patients will be able to book an initial appointment with a cardiologist and for preventive examinations. In the second half of 2026, online booking will become available for patients requiring consultations with specialists in vascular, infectious, endocrinological, and other complex diseases.

According to the plan, by December 31, 2029, all outpatient specialized medical care services will be integrated into the new system. This will create a unified space for registration and obtaining medical services, aimed at increasing the efficiency and accessibility of medical care for Polish citizens.

The introduction of a centralized appointment system for doctors in Poland is an important step in modernizing the country's medical system.

It is expected that this will significantly simplify access to medical services, especially in the context of the growing demand for specialized assistance. Over time, the new system may also reduce the burden on medical staff, allowing them to focus on providing quality services to patients.
