Poland's Appeal to the European Commission
Poland has appealed to the European Commission to investigate the activities of TikTok, particularly due to the widespread dissemination of content generated by artificial intelligence. This content contains calls for Poland's exit from the European Union. The letter containing this appeal was written by Deputy Minister of Digitalization Dariusz Stander.
Threat of Disinformation
A Polish official believes that the spread of such content is part of a coordinated disinformation campaign. Adam Szlapka, a spokesperson for the Polish government, also commented on the situation, noting that the materials may be related to Russian disinformation. Stander emphasized that this content poses a threat to public order, information security, and the integrity of democratic processes not only in Poland but throughout the European Union.
Furthermore, Szlapka pointed out that the presented narrative is completely contrary to Poland's interests and fully aligns with Russia's interests. He added that if one looks closely, the Russian syntactic structure can be seen in these videos.
