A blast occurred in Poltava, after which 21 people sought medical assistance, reported the secretary of the Poltava city council, Yekaterina Yamshykova.
«Two city emergency response headquarters have been established, all relevant services are working, hundreds of employees and dozens of pieces of equipment are involved. Currently, the aftermath is still being documented: damaged houses are being inspected; specialists are communicating with residents; psychological assistance is being provided to the victims,» – the statement says.
It was noted that more than 20 buildings, over 100 windows, nine residential buildings, seven private households, one educational institution, premises of enterprises, and dozens of cars were damaged.
Public transportation movement has been temporarily adjusted to ensure the operational work of services.
