Ace Frehley, founder of the band Kiss, has died at the age of 74

The legendary guitarist and founder of the band Kiss, Ace Frehley, passed away at the age of 74. His family confirmed this sad news. It was reported by ABC News.



“We are completely heartbroken and devastated. In his final moments, we were fortunate to surround him with love, care, soothing words, thoughts, prayers, and intentions as he left this world. We cherish all his best memories, his laughter, and honor his strength and kindness that he bestowed upon others,” the statement read.


The news of Frehley's death came just weeks after he canceled his concerts for 2025 due to health issues.



Life and Career of Ace Frehley


Under the pseudonym “The Spaceman,” Frehley became a legend alongside the band Kiss, which he founded in 1973. The group became known for its vibrant performances, unique imagery, and a multitude of pyrotechnic effects. Outside of Kiss, the musician also embarked on a solo career and formed the band Frehley’s Comet.


Despite leaving the band twice, Frehley's contribution to rock music is immensely significant. He will always remain a part of the legendary band Kiss and the music industry as a whole.
