Vladyslav Kyrychenko Has Died
Vladyslav Kyrychenko, the founder of the Nash Format publishing brand and the public organization Community of Ukrainian Reformation, has died at the age of 57. His death was the result of a cancer diagnosis, a disease he fought against until the very end.
His Legacy in Publishing
Kyrychenko's publishing career began in 2006 when he acquired the audiobook publisher "Knyha Vholos" and rebranded it as "Nash Format." At the time of the acquisition, the company had already produced approximately 200 Ukrainian audiobooks. Under his leadership, Nash Format grew into a leading publishing house specializing in nonfiction and popular science literature, making a substantial contribution to the growth of Ukrainian readership. His work was particularly significant in a market historically dominated by Russian-language publications.
Kyrychenko's passing represents a profound loss for the Ukrainian publishing community. His efforts not only promoted Ukrainian literature but also supported the development of cultural and educational initiatives across the country.
