Over 100 Firefighters Battled Blaze in Kyiv Following Russian Strike

Fire Contained in Kyiv's Darnytskyi District

A large fire that broke out in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv on June 25 has been fully extinguished by emergency crews. The blaze ignited during an evening air raid alert, when explosions were heard across the capital. The attack targeted warehouse facilities in the area, and falling debris was also reported on open ground, where rocket fragments struck the earth.

More than 100 firefighters and 23 units of firefighting and specialized equipment were deployed to bring the flames under control. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that

“air defense forces were active over the city”
during the incident. That night, three Zircon hypersonic missiles and two Iskander missiles were intercepted above the capital.

Strikes on Energy and Civilian Infrastructure

In a separate attack on the night of June 26, Russian forces hit energy and civilian infrastructure in the Vylkove urban hromada of Odesa Oblast. One person was injured, and parts of the community were left without electricity as a result. Emergency services continue to work around the clock to address the aftermath of the bombardments.
