One-Time Cash Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities
The Pension Fund of Ukraine has announced the disbursement of a one-time cash payment to children with disabilities classified under subgroup A in nine regions of the country. The total amount allocated for this initiative exceeds 50 million hryvnias, with each eligible child receiving 6,500 hryvnias. The funds are transferred directly to a current account at an authorized bank and come with no restrictions on how they can be spent.
Eligible Regions and Criteria for Receiving the Payment
This financial aid is intended for children with disabilities residing in the following areas:
- Chernihiv
- Dnipropetrovsk
- Donetsk
- Kharkiv
- Kherson
- Mykolaiv
- Odesa
- Sumy
- Zaporizhzhia
Only the legal guardians of these children are eligible to apply. To qualify, the guardian must already be receiving state social assistance for individuals with disabilities from childhood or for children with disabilities under 18, as well as care allowances for a child with a subgroup A disability.
It is important to note that recipients must not have previously received a one-time cash payment of 6,500 hryvnias under the 'Winter Support' program. Details about the payment can be checked in the personal account on the electronic services portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The resolution from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine governing these payments came into effect on April 21, 2026. This one-time assistance aims to support families raising children with disabilities and provide them with essential financial relief.
