The Role of the 'E-Appointment' System in Streamlining Government Services

Launched just a year and a half ago, the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ (MIA) 'E-Appointment' platform has empowered Ukrainians to schedule more than 7 million service visits at MIA service centers. This digital solution has significantly simplified how citizens access vital administrative documents and services.

Breaking down these appointments:

  • More than 4.79 million bookings were made through the online portal;
  • Over 2.35 million appointments were registered via self-service terminals located within MIA service centers.

This system has effectively reduced wait times and made the process of obtaining government services faster and more convenient for the public.

Priority Scheduling for Specific Groups

The 'E-Appointment' system also offers priority booking options for certain groups, including:

  • Active military personnel;
  • Individuals with disabilities;
  • Families of fallen defenders of Ukraine;
  • Other eligible beneficiaries.

Since its inception, over 239,000 priority appointments have been made, highlighting the system’s role in supporting citizens who require special accommodations.

By digitalizing appointment scheduling, the 'E-Appointment' initiative has become a key element in enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of administrative services across Ukraine. The inclusion of priority access for vulnerable groups underscores the government’s commitment to equitable service provision, which can boost overall public satisfaction with administrative processes.
