Funding of the Pension Fund of Ukraine as of August 19
As of August 19, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has financed 70.1 billion UAH for pension payments, housing subsidies and benefits, insurance payments, as well as social assistance. In August, 778.0 thousand services were provided to individuals who approached the Pension Fund authorities.
In particular, 56.0 billion UAH was spent on pension payments, of which:
- 8.5 billion UAH was paid through JSC Ukrposhta;
- 47.5 billion UAH – through authorized banks.
1.5 billion UAH was allocated for housing subsidies and benefits, and 2.5 billion UAH for insurance payments, of which 1.1 billion UAH went to hospital payments. Social assistance and other payments amounted to 10.1 billion UAH.
The Role of the Pension Fund in Social Protection
The data indicated reflect the active work of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the face of economic challenges. The role played by the fund in ensuring social protection of the population is important, particularly through pension payments and social assistance.
