The Center for Counteracting Disinformation reported that over 70 sabotage attacks that occurred in the United Kingdom after 2022 were linked to Russia.

According to European intelligence, the Kremlin is now using a new tactic, recruiting teenagers and young men through social networks to turn them into perpetrators of arson and explosions. After a large number of Russian agents were expelled from Britain following the poisoning of Sergei Skripal in 2018, the Russian Federation lost its personnel base, and so the Kremlin was forced to switch to more flexible methods.

The targets of the attacks have included warehouses, logistics centers, telecommunications nodes, and enterprises that support Ukraine. The main goal has been to inflict economic damage, halt supplies, and create an atmosphere of vulnerability in Europe.

'These actions can be considered a form of state terrorism through private contractors. European intelligence services have warned that the new tactics of Russian saboteurs are extremely dangerous: untrained perpetrators often operate near residential areas and warehouses, attempting to assemble homemade explosives without knowledge of basic safety rules, thus increasing the risk of mass casualties,' the CPD emphasized.

The Kremlin is using new methods of disinformation aimed at recruiting youth to carry out sabotage operations in the United Kingdom, which poses serious threats to security and stability in Europe. Intelligence warns about the dangers of this new tactic of Russian intelligence services.
