July 2023 Social Payouts: A Funding Overview
This report offers a snapshot of Ukraine's social welfare spending in mid-2023. During July, the Pension Fund of Ukraine financed pensions, housing subsidies and allowances, insurance payouts, social assistance, and other benefit categories. Pension payments made up the largest share, totaling UAH 74.4 billion. Housing subsidies and allowances received UAH 1.4 billion, while insurance payouts came to UAH 3.4 billion—with UAH 2 billion of that going toward sick leave.
In addition, social assistance and other payments were funded to the tune of UAH 11 billion that month. Altogether, Pension Fund offices delivered 1,426.8 thousand services to applicants. Funding for August disbursements is scheduled to get underway on August 3.
