Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember the story of Dmytro Paskar.
Dmytro Paskar, a 26-year-old senior soldier, was killed on October 22, 2023, in a battle with Russian occupiers in the Zaporizhzhia direction. His body was recently identified and handed over to his relatives for a dignified burial, which took place in Rivne at the Heroes' Alley of the 'Nove' cemetery.
“He made that decision but told no one about it. A few days before his departure to the training ground, he only warned his father. Dmytro always made decisions independently, loved to take risks, and was passionate about motorcycles. Everything happened at speed for him – even when he was basically a child, he acted like an adult. He set goals for himself and achieved them,” said the soldier's mother.
Dmytro is survived by his parents, two sisters, a grandmother, and a beloved girlfriend with whom he dreamed of getting married during the vacation he never reached.
In memory of those who died in the fight for the freedom and independence of Ukraine, 'Glavkom' joins in a moment of silence. The whole country lights candles of remembrance and bows its heads during the national moment of silence.
On the eve of the holiday, it is important to remember and honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for peace and independence of Ukraine. Eternal memory to all fallen defenders!
