Port Polska: Poland is building a mega airport for 131 billion zlotys for 40 million passengers

Польща вкладає великі ресурси в новий аеропорт, який зможе обслуговувати 40 мільйонів людей щорічно.

Mega Airport Port Polska

Poland is implementing the infrastructure project of the mega airport Port Polska, construction of which will start in 2026, with the opening scheduled for 2032. The project has a budget of 131 billion zlotys and is expected to serve 40 million people annually in the first phase.

The new airport, previously known as CPK (Centralny Port Komunikacyjny), will cover an area of 2,585 hectares. The trip from Warsaw to the airport will take only 20 minutes. To ensure convenient connectivity, fast lines are planned to connect the hub with major cities in Poland, including:

  • Gdańsk
  • Kraków
  • Wrocław
Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk noted: 'We are building the fastest railway network in Europe and the largest hub in the region, where planes from around the world will land 24/7.'

This project will mark an important stage in the development of the country's transport infrastructure and improve accessibility for international transportation.

Poland's Strategic Goals

The implementation of the Port Polska project highlights Poland's strategic goal of becoming a key transport hub in Central and Eastern Europe. Given the growing demand for air travel, the new airport could significantly impact the economic development of the region, attracting investments and boosting tourism. Furthermore, improving transport infrastructure could lead to reduced travel times and increased comfort for passengers, which is an important factor in today's globalized economy.
