The DBR has completed a pre-trial investigation into the head of the recruitment center in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The man tried to artificially increase the mobilization figures by altering the data in the military registrant cards and issuing fake orders to military units.
The investigation established that the suspect, using his own cryptographic key, unauthorizedly altered the data in the military registrant cards. In particular, he arranged their supposed involvement in the Armed Forces, removed them from the records, and even issued fake orders to three different military units.
As a result, he 'mobilized' 17 individuals who were actually at home, not in military units. With this interference in the mobilization system, he may disrupt the artificial statistics but harms the country's defense capability.
The sentence could be up to 6 years of imprisonment
The accused was notified of suspicion back in June this year. His actions are classified as unauthorized alteration of information in the system, for which he faces up to 6 years in prison.
All actions in this case were controlled by the prosecutor's office in the region.
