U.S. Embassy Warns of Imminent Large-Scale Attack on Ukraine

Посольство США оголосило про загрозу масованого нападу на Україну.

Air Strike Alert Issued for Ukraine

On May 23, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv released a warning about a potentially major aerial assault on Ukraine within the next 24 hours. Diplomats urged American citizens in the country to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols. Notably, if an air raid siren sounds, U.S. nationals are advised to immediately head to shelters and stay there until the all-clear is given.

Threat of a Coordinated Strike

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also cautioned about a possible massive combined attack on Ukraine, particularly targeting Kyiv. According to military intelligence, signs indicate preparations for a strike involving the intermediate-range ballistic missile known as Oreshnik. This missile was previously used during an assault on the Lviv region on the night of January 9, when Russian occupiers launched an attack triggered by a false claim about a strike on Vladimir Putin's residence.

Ukraine's Security Service displayed debris from the Oreshnik missile found at the impact site. Among the recovered components were a guidance unit, engine parts, and orientation mechanisms. In light of these developments, Ukrainian citizens are urged to stay cautious and adhere to safety recommendations.

These events highlight the growing tensions in the region and the potential risks to civilians. Given the warnings from U.S. diplomats and the Ukrainian leader's statements, it is crucial for people to be prepared for possible emergencies. Relevant authorities continue to monitor the situation to ensure public safety and respond to any emerging threats.

As the situation escalates, Zelensky has warned about potential preparations for a large-scale strike on Kyiv, emphasizing the urgency for citizens to remain alert. This warning aligns with the U.S. Embassy's recent advisory, underscoring the heightened risks faced by the region amidst ongoing military tensions. Staying informed about these developments is crucial for the safety of all residents.
