During the meeting with US senators, I discussed the situation at the front, particularly in Pokrovsk, and expressed the need to enhance the level of air defense and improve conditions for Ukrainian military personnel. We also discussed possibilities for increasing pressure on Russia, including discussions on sanctions in the US Congress.
I sincerely thanked the senators for their work in this direction and emphasized the importance of joint efforts to achieve peace. We also discussed the issue of returning Ukrainian children abducted by the Russian side, and noted the significant role of the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, in this process.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian representative discussed various aspects of cooperation with US senators, including defense issues and pressure on Russia through sanctions. Attention was also drawn to the return of stolen Ukrainian children and the importance of efforts to achieve peace in the east of the country.
