On December 17, 2025, an event 'Post COP30: results, achievements, next steps of Ukraine's climate policy' took place in Kyiv, where the development and implementation of Ukraine's climate policy for 2026 were discussed. Ukrainian and foreign officials, experts, businessmen, and the public participated in the event.
One of the key points of the next steps in Ukraine's climate policy is the official submission of the draft law on STV to the Verkhovna Rada and the expansion of sectors related to the environmental sphere.
The event also discussed accelerating the implementation of EU legislation, mechanisms for compensating climate damage, and the international diplomatic results of our country's participation in the conference. During the discussions, the positive impression of Ukrainian initiatives within the conference and their extensive announcement in global media and social networks was noted.
Ukrainian negotiators also blocked inaccurate reports from Russia regarding emissions from temporarily occupied territories of our country.
