Revocation of rights through the court: how to regain a driver's license in Ukraine

Відновлення водійського посвідчення: кроки для повернення прав в Україні через судовий процес.

Action algorithm for drivers

The main service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has published an action algorithm for drivers whose license was confiscated by a court decision. The confiscation of a license is possible only on the basis of a court verdict. After the court's decision, the National Police transfers the confiscated document to the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Information about the revocation of driving rights is entered into the Unified State Register of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Conditions for returning the license

To regain the document, the driver must pass theoretical and practical exams. This is a mandatory condition that must be fulfilled to restore rights. It is important to note that during the state of martial law and for three months after its cancellation, the license can be returned at any territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

However, it should be taken into account that a license issued for the first time for a period of two years is mostly not returned after the revocation of driving rights. In this regard, drivers should be cautious and adhere to traffic rules to avoid similar situations.

This action algorithm for drivers who have been deprived of their rights emphasizes the importance of adhering to legislation in the field of road traffic.
