Deadly Fire in Kerzers

A fire that broke out on a bus in the Swiss town of Kerzers on March 10 has resulted in six fatalities and five injuries. The incident occurred at 18:25 on Murtenstrasse. Among the injured are four passengers and one paramedic, with three of them hospitalized in serious condition. Swiss authorities are currently treating the blaze as a suspected arson attack. This tragic event highlights the vulnerability of public transport systems to sudden acts of violence.

  • In Glasgow, Scotland, a fire at a commercial building near Central Station led to the cancellation of dozens of train services.
  • In the Trujillo province of Peru, an explosion at the Dali nightclub injured 33 people, including three teenagers aged 16 and 17.

According to Gerardo Florian Gomez, executive director of the Trujillo health network, at least five of the injured are in serious condition.

Swiss President Guy Parmelin has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims in Kerzers. As noted by Volodymyr Zelenskyy,

“The situation remains complex.”
