The Ukrainian women's biathlon team is gearing up for a new competitive season, which will serve as preparation for the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy. Under the guidance of Mykola Zoz, eight athletes are training, including the Olympic champion from 2014 in the relay, Yuliya Dzhyma.

The team leader trains in a mixed format, combining joint training with the team and individual work. Preparation began in May and involves various training sessions: from shooting and skiing training to strength exercises and running.

“The injury of Kristina is felt, but it does not interfere with the training process. We just adjust our approach to work and loads.”

The team is focusing on preparation at the venue in Anterselva, which is an important location for biathlon. This venue is known for its challenging terrain and unpredictable weather, making it a significant test for athletes.

Ukrainian biathletes are preparing to participate in the Ukrainian summer biathlon championship and plan further stages of preparation before the upcoming season. Ukraine has already secured 10 Olympic licenses, opening the door for participation in the Olympic Games from various athletes.

The preparation of the Ukrainian biathlon team for the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina in 2026 is already in full swing. Athletes are actively training and planning their participation in future competitions, striving to reach new heights and bring victory to the country.
