President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region on a working trip. He met with military personnel from combat brigades and local communities, discussing the situation at the front, the needs of the army, and measures to support the region.
At the end of the visit, after visiting the positions of individual military brigades, it was decided to convene a meeting of the Staff. The President stated that funding for brigades and the development of contract service in the army would be discussed there.
Mechanisms for direct financing of brigades were discussed, especially for the procurement of drones, as well as providing units with greater autonomy in purchasing pickups and other necessary equipment. 'Unfortunately, there are still many legal complexities and bureaucracy. We will simplify everything and give our brigades more opportunities,'the president emphasized.
State support for frontline territories
During his visit to Kharkiv, Volodymyr Zelensky also discussed issues of state support for frontline and border territories in the east of the country. He noted the importance of Ukraine's victory in the struggle for independence during a meeting with local citizens and entrepreneurs.
