The State Customs Service of Ukraine reports that citizens of the country can take cash across the border without a special declaration up to 10000 euros or an equivalent amount in another currency. If the amount exceeds this limit, a declaration must be completed indicating the source of the funds.
When crossing the border, you can carry cash up to 10000 euros without declaration, as well as other currencies, including hryvnias and US dollars.
The introduced rules also apply to jewelry and securities, which are assessed by customs officials at the rate of the National Bank of Ukraine. When carrying a large sum of money, you should use the red corridor and submit a customs declaration.
Control over border crossing
The red corridor also includes securities, precious metals, and currency valuables worth more than 10000 euros. No other restrictions on the amount have been established, but it is important to comply with all requirements and rules when moving funds across the border.
For Ukrainians, it is important to remember the established limitations and declaration procedures for funds when crossing the border to avoid potential problems or inconveniences with customs officials.
