The visit is dedicated to the celebration of the 650th anniversary of the founding of the Galician Metropolis, which the Lviv Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church will celebrate tomorrow. The cardinal began his program in the city with a meeting with wounded Ukrainian soldiers at the rehabilitation center 'Unbroken'. As Yevhen Boyko noted, the archbishop is open and compassionate towards Ukrainians who are fighting for their lives and the preservation of Christian civilization.
'It is a pleasure to host such an honorable guest in Lviv who directly represents the Pope. Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe has devoted many years to serving the Church and the people,' said Yevhen Boyko.
