Widespread Attacks Across Ukraine
Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky has confirmed that Kyiv and several other Ukrainian regions have been subjected to heavy bombardment, resulting in civilian deaths, injuries, and significant damage to infrastructure and energy facilities. Both yesterday and early this morning, Kyiv along with multiple regions faced renewed waves of attacks.
Impact of the Assaults
In the Zaporizhzhia region, strikes on residential areas caused the deaths of three people and wounded four others. Port infrastructure in Odesa was also targeted. Additionally, a drone in the Black Sea attacked a civilian vessel flying a foreign flag. Energy facilities in Poltava and Zhytomyr regions were hit, while destruction was reported in Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kirovohrad oblasts.
In Kyiv, the attacks damaged homes, a school, office buildings, warehouses, and telecommunications networks. One person was killed, and two children along with a police officer were injured. The city suffered two strikes on a data center during the morning, resulting in three injuries. Emergency responders and medical teams are actively working at the scenes to assist those affected.
These events underscore a sharp escalation in the conflict, with ongoing military operations continuing to endanger civilians and critical infrastructure. While government bodies and local services strive to manage the aftermath, the situation remains dire given the persistent threats to public safety.
