The Ukrainian government delegation, led by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, met with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to discuss cooperation between the countries. The main focus was on supporting Ukraine's economy and energy resilience.
Investments and Energy
The Ukrainian-American Reconstruction Investment Fund, together with the investment advisor Alvarez & Marsal, is an important tool for attracting American capital to Ukraine. Further plans involve selecting projects for implementation.
There were also discussions about expanding procurement of American LNG for Ukrainian consumers, as well as the sanctions that the US imposes on Russian oil companies to deprive the aggressor of part of its income.
“Thank you for the financial support from the US, which is crucial for strengthening Ukraine's resilience. It is important to continue using financial instruments to maintain the macro-financial stability of the country.”
The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of constructive cooperation between Ukraine and the US to achieve a just peace in Ukraine.
As a result of the meeting, ways to support Ukraine's economy and energy security with the participation of American partners were discussed.
