The President awarded the wounded, volunteers, and leaders of Ukraine and Europe
On Independence Day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented state awards to outstanding Ukrainians. The Order of Freedom was awarded to Yulia Taira Paievska - a military serviceman, paramedic, and volunteer. According to the president, this is recognition for her contribution to strengthening Ukrainian statehood, courage in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as significant efforts in the development of various areas of social life and devoted fulfillment of professional duties.
I dedicate this award to the defenders of Mariupol - to those who remained alive, to the fallen, and to those in captivity, as a symbol of freedom for all of us
In addition, earlier the President honored U.S. President's Special Representative Keith Kellogg with the Order of Merit of the 1st class and also awarded several European leaders and officials. Congratulating on Independence Day, Zelensky emphasized the importance of protecting and developing a strong state capable of living in peace.
The head of state called on citizens to jointly create a future where Ukraine will be reliably protected.
During the ceremonial event for Independence Day, the President of Ukraine awarded outstanding Ukrainians and called for joint efforts for the benefit of the future of an independent country.
