Today, on the occasion of Judicial Workers' Day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed 35 decrees appointing new judges to local and appellate courts. This information was announced by the press service of the head of state and concerns the results of open competitions.
The decrees appointing judges to local and appellate courts were signed by the President of Ukraine in connection with Judicial Workers' Day. This step is aimed at supporting the judicial system and ensuring the proper functioning of courts in regions where there is a noticeable shortage of judges," the statement said.
This new directive is part of the financial support program Ukraine Facility, aimed at enhancing the integrity and professionalism of the judiciary. All 35 decrees on the appointment of judges are available on the official website of the president, which is one of the steps in reforming the judicial system of Ukraine.
Official Visit of the President to the Netherlands
In other news, on December 16, Volodymyr Zelensky plans to make a visit to the Netherlands. He will meet with the acting Prime Minister of the country in The Hague and hold a working lunch with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense of the Netherlands at the official residence of the Prime Minister.
