Zelensky on the tragedy in Ternopil: 26 dead, search for 22 people continues

All night our rescuers worked in Ternopil, and search and rescue operations are still ongoing. 22 people remain missing, and they continue to be searched for. More than 230 rescuers from nine regions of Ukraine have been involved in these efforts. In some areas, manual work is required due to extensive destruction and unstable structures, complicating the search.


Currently, the death of 26 individuals has been confirmed, including three children. The president extended condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. He also thanked all the workers who are continuously operating at the scene, including rescuers, medics, and police officers. Zelensky emphasized the importance that Ukrainian people can always count on rescue and support, despite conditions, including the aggression of Russia.
