The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Sviridenko, emphasized during her visit to the Zaporizhia region that frontline areas are an important safe belt of the country, so it is necessary to provide them with the necessary support.
During the visit, Yulia Sviridenko visited social facilities, such as the ambulance station and the renovated hospital. The government has allocated an increase in funding for emergency medicine in the state budget for next year, which will allow for a salary increase for healthcare workers and support for frontline regions.
Features of education and other measures
As part of the visit, a new underground school was visited, where training has already begun for 700 children. There are 17 such schools in the Zaporizhia region that receive financial support from the budget to ensure educational safety. Funds have also been allocated for shelters in schools and kindergartens.
Government meeting and the importance of issues
At the meeting with the leadership of the Zaporizhia region, issues of energy resilience, defense, and rapid recovery after shelling, which have become relevant recently, were discussed.
"The state budget for 2026 provides for an increase in funding for emergency medicine throughout Ukraine. This will allow for a salary increase for ambulance workers to 35 thousand hryvnias. For frontline regions, an increased capitation rate will also be maintained," comments Yulia Sviridenko.
During her visit to the Zaporizhia region, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of supporting frontline areas, strengthening the medical and educational sectors, as well as the necessity to ensure energy resilience and protect the country.
