The government of Ukraine has decided to simplify the procedure for transferring key equipment to electricity distribution system operators without conducting an auction. This applies to equipment that can be used for urgent needs of the energy system and is on the balance of state enterprises and economic entities with a state share of more than 50%.
Among this equipment:
- power transformers;
- high-voltage circuit breakers;
- disconnectors;
- inputs;
- power cables.
The changes provide for leasing to electricity distribution system operators without conducting an auction, with minimal payments in the case of state property and property of economic entities with a state share of more than 50%.
This decision will allow for faster recovery of the energy system's operation in case of crisis situations and threats to the stability of energy supply.
