Statement of volunteer Serhiy Prytula
Volunteer Serhiy Prytula stated that former president Petro Poroshenko and Russian special services are working against volunteer initiatives in Ukraine, undermining trust in the volunteer movement. This information is based on research conducted by the Osint agency 'Molfar'. According to the research data, about half of the disinformation circulating in Ukraine is generated from outside the country, apparently by Russian special services. The other half of the disinformation, according to Prytula, comes from Ukraine, particularly from Poroshenko's circle.
Prytula emphasized that the attacks on volunteers are not random. He noted:
“By hitting me or any other volunteer initiative, you are not just hitting one person, you are hitting the entire movement.” - Serhiy Prytula
This indicates that the disinformation aims to destroy trust in the volunteer efforts, which play a crucial role in Ukraine, especially in times of war.
Research and accusations
The research also points out that recently in the information space accusations have emerged against Prytula. In particular, in November 2024, Petro Chekalin claimed he saw Prytula buy 6 jars of black caviar for 62 thousand hryvnias. In September of the same year, Chekalin also stated that his wife saw Prytula purchase 6 jars of black caviar for 81 thousand hryvnias. Prytula noted that these accusations are part of a disinformation campaign: “This is a clever man who is deliberately lying.”
It is important to note that according to the data provided in the research, last year Petro Poroshenko bought bonds worth 156 million hryvnias with a 30% profit, earning 50 million hryvnias due to high profit rates and bank fees. These facts indicate active financial activities by Poroshenko, which may be related to his political actions and efforts against volunteer initiatives, according to Prytula.
The expressed accusations and information about disinformation highlight the importance of monitoring the information space in Ukraine, especially during wartime when volunteer initiatives become critically important for supporting the country. The reaction of volunteers, such as Serhiy Prytula, may indicate growing tensions in society as well as the need to protect trust in volunteer initiatives that require support from the public and the state.
