PrivatBank and Visa Introduce 'Payment Request' Feature
PrivatBank, in partnership with Visa, has integrated a new 'Payment Request' function into its Privat24 app. This innovation allows users to split shared expenses without needing to exchange sensitive card details, making the process of getting reimbursed both simpler and more secure. This type of peer-to-peer payment feature is becoming a standard expectation in modern banking apps worldwide.
The 'Payment Request' feature is now live for all customers in the updated app version. To use it, users can simply:
- select a transaction;
- tap the 'Split Payment' button;
- choose the friends or contacts to share the cost with;
- and specify the amount for each person.
This streamlined process is designed for everyday scenarios like group dinners, shared shopping trips, or travel costs.
Dmytro Musiienko, a representative of PrivatBank, noted that this feature contributes to financial inclusion by providing an easy way to resolve even routine reimbursement matters.
Tetiana Chorna emphasized that the solution is built on global standards and a secure infrastructure, ensuring the safety and reliability of the new service.
