Ukraine to Automate Pension Payments with New Proactive System

В Україні впровадять інноваційну систему для автоматизації процесу виплати пенсій.

A New Direction for Social Services in Ukraine

Ukraine is planning a major overhaul of its social services and pension system by introducing a proactive framework for the automatic calculation of benefits. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, under the leadership of Deputy Minister Valeria Koval, this initiative aims to reduce bureaucratic burdens on citizens and simplify the process of receiving pension payments. This reform is part of a broader digital transformation effort within the country's public services.

How the New System Will Work

The new system will allow citizens to challenge the calculated pension amount, ensuring greater transparency and accessibility. In the future, Ukrainians are set to receive push notifications containing a ready-made payment proposal, enabling them to respond swiftly to changes in their pension provisions.

Koval also emphasized that "according to our logic, everything should happen very quickly," indicating the government's drive to shorten the time required to receive payments. She firmly stated, "in my deep conviction, this should not be the case," underscoring her determination to improve Ukraine's social service system. These changes could significantly alter the citizen experience by simplifying benefit claims and lowering administrative barriers.

The implementation of a proactive, automatic pension calculation system could substantially improve citizen services by reducing the need for in-person visits to government offices. This initiative has the potential to ease social tensions linked to bureaucratic hurdles and represents a significant step in reforming Ukraine's social policy framework.
