The head of the parliamentary committee on education, science and innovation, Serhiy Babak, noted that the labor market shows high demand and competitive wages for graduates of vocational education institutions that will be necessary for the recovery of Ukraine.
'We want to radically change the image of vocational education institutions. I really want people to forget the word 'burse' and start perceiving such institutions as modern vocational colleges,' - emphasized the deputy.
Babak emphasized that vocational education should not be the 'last choice', as the realities of the labor market confirm its effectiveness and prospects. Vocational graduates can earn significantly higher salaries at the start than young accountants or lawyers.
'It is these specialists who will rebuild the country,' - he noted.
Although IT and law remain popular among young people, in recent years efforts to popularize vocational education have significantly intensified, and this is already yielding results, noted the head of the parliamentary committee.
'We want young people to know: success is possible in any profession. And the labor market demonstrates this best. Vocational education provides this opportunity,' - summarized Serhiy Babak.
The Ukrainian parliamentary committee noted the growing demand for graduates of vocational education and emphasized the importance of this direction for the future of the country. It was emphasized that vocational education demonstrates its effectiveness and prospects, going beyond traditional sectors.
