Weather forecast until Christmas: when to expect real cold in Ukraine
Forecaster Natalia Didenko reported on the weather forecast in Ukraine until Christmas. On December 18, 2023, the weather in Ukraine will be determined by an anticyclone. On this day, no precipitation is expected, except for a small rain in Transcarpathia and rain with snow in the Carpathians.
The air temperature at night will fluctuate around 0 degrees, during the day it will be +3...+6 degrees, and in the west of the country it will be up to +7 degrees. In southern Ukraine, the temperature will reach +6...+11 degrees, while in Crimea, possible values may reach +12 degrees. In the capital, Kyiv, on December 18, the air temperature is expected to be around +5 degrees.
Expected cold snap
According to the forecast, a real cold snap in Ukraine is expected approximately from December 26. During this period, daytime temperatures will drop to slight 'minuses', while at night they will fluctuate from -5 to -11 degrees. As Natalia Didenko noted,
“the forecast is most likely valid for one to three days; everything beyond that is approximate and will require mandatory clarification.”
