Ukraine Weather Forecast for April 16

A high-pressure system will bring dry conditions to most of Ukraine on April 16. However, an atmospheric front will affect western and northern regions, potentially bringing isolated light showers. Winds will be predominantly southwesterly, with speeds of 5-10 m/s (11-22 mph).

Nighttime temperatures are expected to range from +3 to +8°C (37-46°F), while daytime highs will reach 14-19°C (57-66°F). For most regions, excluding Zakarpattia and the northeast, overnight lows will be 1-6°C (34-43°F), with possible ground frosts of 0-3°C (32-37°F). Daytime temperatures across Ukraine will vary from 13 to 18°C (55-64°F), while the east and northeast will see cooler readings of 9-14°C (48-57°F).

Kyiv Region Forecast

Variable cloudiness is expected in the Kyiv region and the capital. The night will be dry, but a light daytime shower is possible. Overnight temperatures in the region will be 3-8°C (37-46°F), rising to 14-19°C (57-66°F) during the day. In Kyiv city, nighttime readings will be 6-8°C (43-46°F), with afternoon highs of 16-18°C (61-64°F).

Additionally, solar activity with a K-index of 2.7 is forecast for April 16, indicating minor geomagnetic storm conditions. As noted by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center:

'Dry weather across most oblasts will be determined by a high-pressure field; only the western and northern regions will be influenced by an atmospheric front, where we expect isolated light rain. Winds will be mainly southwesterly, moving at 5-10 m/s. Regarding the temperature regime, overnight we expect values within +3..+8°C; during the day, thermometers will reach 14-19°C.' Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center

Weather across Ukraine on April 16 will be characterized mainly by clear skies, favorable for outdoor activities. Residents should, however, note the potential for light rain in western and northern areas, which could affect plans. These temperature fluctuations are typical for the spring transition in Eastern Europe, where daytime warmth is increasingly felt but nighttime frosts remain a risk, particularly for agricultural work.
