Achievements of the SvitloDim Program

The SvitloDim initiative continues its work to provide backup power solutions for multi-story residential buildings. To date, 400 buildings have received funding, with the total sum exceeding 107 million hryvnias. Since the program's launch, over 1,150 applications have been submitted from buildings housing more than 170,000 families. This program addresses a critical need for energy resilience in Ukraine's housing sector.

Of these buildings, nearly 300 are located in Kyiv, with over 100 in the Kyiv region. The most active participants are mid-rise and high-rise buildings:

  • 42% of applications came from buildings with 7–16 floors;
  • 39% from buildings with 17 or more floors.

Applicants have chosen various solutions for autonomous power:

  • 38% opted for batteries;
  • 31% for inverters;
  • 11% for solar panels and control units;
  • 9% for generators.

The Growing Need for Independent Power

The SvitloDim Program reflects the population's increasing demand for a stable electricity supply, particularly given the ongoing energy challenges facing the country. The rising number of applications and active participation from residents underscore the importance of backup power sources for maintaining a comfortable life in apartment buildings, a crucial consideration amid an unstable energy situation.

This initiative may also help reduce the strain on centralized power grids.
