Ukraine's SvitloDIM Program: Grants Up to 300,000 Hryvnias for Residential Energy Independence

Програма SvitloDIM в Україні: Фінансова підтримка до 300,000 гривень для забезпечення енергетичної незалежності житла.

Opening Accounts for Residential Associations

PrivatBank has started opening special accounts for homeowner associations (OSBB) and housing cooperatives (HBC) as part of the state-funded SvitloDIM program. This initiative provides non-repayable grants of up to 300,000 hryvnias for purchasing autonomous power supply equipment. The funds can be used to buy:

  • Generators
  • Inverters
  • Batteries
  • High-voltage battery systems
  • Solar panels

How to Participate

To join the program, OSBBs and HBCs must open a dedicated account with a partner bank. Applications for the grant are submitted via the Diia portal or the program's official website. Once approved and funds are received, recipients have 45 days to purchase and install the necessary equipment.

PrivatBank offers free account setup and remote financial management through its Privat24 for Business platform. The bank also provides an online voting service for association members, streamlining the decision-making process for OSBBs and HBCs.

This program offers residential communities a chance to prepare their buildings for potential blackouts and invest in energy independence with state support.

The launch of the SvitloDIM program by PrivatBank marks a significant step in strengthening the energy security of residential complexes in Ukraine, particularly given the unstable energy situation. The benefit for associations extends beyond financial aid, enabling the adoption of modern technologies for autonomous power, which can greatly enhance resident comfort and safety. This initiative is part of a broader national effort to build resilience, and its successful implementation could serve as a model for future energy independence projects in Ukraine.
