The Own Business Support Program
The Own Business Support Program announced the allocation of 150 million hryvnias in its 23rd wave, which will allow the creation of over 730 new jobs in Ukraine. Of this amount, 389 entrepreneurs will receive 118 million hryvnias for the development of their businesses. The largest investments will be directed to:
- trade (31%),
- processing industry (15%),
- food sector (11%).
Leaders among regions and support for youth
Among the regions that have become leaders in terms of the number of approved applications, Kyiv accounts for 11% of the total number, Lviv region – 10%, and Kharkiv region – 8%. It is noted that 74% of the program's winners have higher education, indicating a high level of preparation among entrepreneurs. In addition, 55 winners of the veteran component will receive 26 million hryvnias, with the average grant size for veterans being 469 thousand hryvnias.
The program also supports youth: 22 Ukrainians aged under 25 received grants up to 150 thousand hryvnias. Since the launch of this direction, over 600 young people have become entrepreneurs. In addition, 22 projects in the creative industries received funding.
It is important to note that starting from January 1, 2026, microgrants will increase from 250 thousand hryvnias to 350 thousand hryvnias, and grants for youth will rise to 200 thousand hryvnias. For entrepreneurs from eight frontline regions, the support amount can reach 500 thousand hryvnias, highlighting the government's commitment to support business in all regions.
