The 'Contract 18-24' program is being expanded to all combat units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. According to Deputy Head of the President's Office, Colonel Pavlo Palisa, initially it was only possible to choose a few brigades, but experiments have allowed for the program to be expanded, and now all combat units are included.
«We continue to expand 'Contract 18-24'. At first, it was only possible to choose a few brigades, later the experiment was expanded, and now there is a decision to include all combat units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine», – the statement reads.
Colonel Palisa explained that now anyone aged 18 to 24 can choose any brigade they want to join: «Now anyone who wants to defend Ukraine at this age can choose any brigade. And all brigades will be able to recruit motivated youth into their ranks. The fight continues!».
Let us remind you that the Verkhovna Rada approved the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days. Martial law will be in effect from November 5, 2025, for 90 days, until February 3, 2026.
The expansion of the 'Contract 18-24' program to all combat units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine means that Ukrainian youth have more opportunities to enlist in the army and participate in the defense of the country. This is a step towards strengthening the country's defense capabilities in the context of the escalating situation in eastern Ukraine.
